Abstract
Objectives] To investigate the relation between the changes of serum soluble intercellular adhesion molecule -1(sICAM-1);P-selectin (sP-selectin)and the activity of coronary heart disease(CHD). [Methods] The concentrations of serum sICAM-1 and sP-selectin were evaluated by means of enzyme linked immunosorbant assay (ELISA) in 19 patients of stable angina pectoris(SAP),18 patients of unstable angina pectoris(UAP), and 13 patients of acute myocardial infarction(AMI). [Results] The concentrations of serum sICAM-1 and sP-selectin were higher in AMI than those in UAP, and significantly higher than those in SAP(sICAM-1 :P0.001;sP-selectin:SAPvsUAP P=0.03,SAPvsAMI P0.001,UAPvsAMI P=0.02) [Conclusion] The concentrations of serum sICAM-1 and sP-selectin were correlated with the activity of CHD.
