Abstract
Objective To investigate the minimal erythema doses(MED) of narrow-band UVB among the normal persons in Chengdu, and observe their relationship with gender and age. Methods The MED of narrow-band UVB was measured in 101 healthy volunteers and patients with noninflammatory skin disorder in Chengdu area by using a sunlight simulator respectively. Results The MED of narrow-band UVB was(649.6±151.1) mJ/cm2.It was related to skin types(rs= 0.586,P 0.05) but not to the other factors. Conclusion The MED of narrow-band UVB in this study is close to the previous reported data in China(600 ~ 800 mJ/cm2).Therefore,it should perform MED measurement before phototherapy.
