Comparative analysis of the Therapeutic Effect of Surgical Means in Patients with Diabetic Foot Ulcer

Objective To compare and analyze the therapeutic effect among the vacuum sealing drainage( VSD),Kangsuning's serial dressing and conventional gauze for patients with diabetic foot ulcer. Methods 60 patients with diabetic foot ulcer who underwent dressing change were included and randomly divided into 3 groups. The observation items included the reduction of wound area,number of dressing, acceptability of patients,wound healing time and outcome of treatment( healing rate). Results Significant difference in the reduction of wounded volume was observed between the 2 groups in the 4 weeks of observation,while the patients in the Kangsuning' group had less dressing changes,and fewer dressing adhesion report. The acceptability of dressing change was remarked as better for the Kangsuning' group by included patients. Among the surgical means,VSD stands out( P 0. 05),with statistical significance. Conclusion The VSD is able to reduce the time of wound healing significantly,increase the healing rate,and shorten the hospitalization period. It' s an effective method for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcer.
