Abstract
Based on the analysis of balanced result of water resource supply and demand in the Yellow River before and after western line water diversion from the Yangtze River into the Yellow River, several plans of water diversion of 4 billion m 3 in 2020, 10 billion m 3 in 2030 and 19 billion m 3 in 2050 have been distributed and studied, and water source projects for key water resource utilization and areas of various water diversion are suggested. It is also recommended that preparation for the first stage of western line water diversion project should be sped up and put into implementation as soon as possible in order to alleviate the urgent situation of the Yellow River water resource demand and supply.
