Abstract

The effects of the mass concentration of diamond and reducing agents on the composition and wear-resistance of electroless Ni-P-diamond composite coating were studied. The results show that the mass fraction of diamond in the coating increases as the mass concentration of diamond in the bath increases;the mass fraction of phosphorus in the coating increases along with the increasing of the mass concentration of reducing agent in the bath.As the mass concentration of diamond in the bath increases, wear amount decreases at first, and then increases, and the wear resistance is the best when its mass concentration is 8 g/L.In addition,as the mass concentration of reducing agent in the bath increases, wear amount will increase too.Diamond distributes uniformly in the coating, and when the mass fraction of phosphorus is 5.00 %,the as plated coating is of an amorphous plus microcrystalline structure.
