Influence of different occupations on male infertility patients of sperm DNA integrity and sperm parameters in Xiamen area

Abstract

Objectives:To explore the effect of different occupations on male sperm DNA integrity and sperm parameters. Methods:1509 cases of male infertility patients will be divided into drivers,computermen and workers of 3 teams,600 control cases were recruited for the study;sperm parameters were analysised by fully automated SQA-V sperm analyzer;Sperm DNA integrity was evaluated by sperm chromatin dispersion(SCD),and the results were expressed interms of DNA fragmentation index(DFI). Results:A significant difference in the concentration and mobility and forward mobility and DFI of sperm between 4 teams(P0.05). A difference in the concentration and mobility and forward mobility and DFI of sperm between drivers, computermen and workers(P0.05). But there is no difference in the semen volume and pH between 4 teams(P0.05). Conclusion:Drivers and computermen affect routine semen parameters and sperm DNA integrity and result in m a le infertility.
