Abstract
Objective To investigate the early surgical efficacy of chronic suppurative otitis media. Methods Forty-five ears with lesions localized to drum sinus and attic area were selected, and probed the tympanic forming of phase Ⅰ.Results After 1~3 year follow-up,there were 43 ears of completely survived tympanic membrane with a success rate of 95.56%,2 ears of re-perforation which accounted for 4.44%.There were 32 ears with hearing improvement of 10~15dB(accounting for 71.11%),9 ears with hearing improvement of 15~30dB(accounting for 20.00%),2 ears with no hearing improvement(accounting for 4.44%),2 ears with mild hearing loss(accounting for 4.44%);The total effective rate of hearing improvement was 91.11%.The hearing ability after treatment was much better than that of before treatment(P0.01).Conclusion If you master the proper indications, the early surgical results are satisfactory.
