The effect of vacuum sealing drainage in extremities soft tissue with defection and nursing realization

Objectives To explore the effect of vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) of treatment for soft tissues injury and nursing strategies.Method Twenty-one cases with defect of extremities soft tissue were treated with VSD.Results In all patients after treatment,eighteen cases had better results,with fresh granulation growing in the surface of wound,and with no bacterial growth by bacterial culture.So these patients had been cured by free skin graft or immediate saturation.Three wound cases were infected,and also had been cured by drainage several times and flap transfer.Conclusions VSD treatment of soft tissue injuries can reduce the frequency of dressing changes,effectively avoid cross-infection,and then reduce the length hospital stay.The focus on nursing is to maintain the patency of suction drainage and enhance the nutritional status of patients.
