Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of vacuum sealing drainage(VSD) in treatment of skin and soft tissue defect of extremities. Methods 16 cases of skin and soft tissue defect of extremities were treated with debridement and VSD.Consecutive negative pressure suction 7 ~ 8 days.VSD was removed and liner close and skin graft was used. Results 16 cases were followed up for 3 ~ 20 months,14 cases were used the VSD only one time,2 cases were performed VSD again. After the reoperation of skin graft for liner closer, all skin graft and flaps survived. Conclusions VSD can timely remove wound exudates and necrotic tissue, stimulate the growth of granulation tissue, significantly reduce treatment time and simplify it,which can be considered one of the effective methods.
