Abstract
The internet characteristic of urban centrality is becoming more prominent under the globalization.This paper suggests the strategy of promoting the multi-scale and multi-dimension urban centrality for Guangzhou against the actuality and restriction of urban centrality based on the simple models of modified service hierarchy and central places with multiple hierarchies.The strategy includes,①shaping a harmonious development pattern of multi-hierarchic and multi-core urban centralities in the internal urban space;②upgrading the out-degree centrality and between-degree centrality in the Guangzhou-Foshan metropolitan area,and the Pan-Pearl River Delta and the Free Trade Area between China and ASEAN;and ③ improving the closeness-centrality and in-degree centrality of Guangzhou on a global scale.
