The Research of Growth Conditions of Artificial Haloxylon ammodendron under Different Site Conditions in Minqin

Based on field survey,distribution and growth condition of artificial Haloxylon ammodendron forest in Minqin were analyzed under the different site.The artificial Haloxylon ammodendron forest were mainly distributed in the mobile dunes of oasis edge,semi-fixed dunes and fixed sand dune in Minqin.Under three site conditions,the artifi-cial Haloxylon ammodendron forest accounted for 97.56% of artificial Haloxylon ammodendron forest of Minqin;the distribution of artificial Haloxylon ammodendron forest were also in beach among sand dunes,wind erosion eluvial slopes,piedmont alluvial fans and gentle false gobi,but the distribution area was very little.The preservation density of the artificial Haloxylon ammodendron forest was nearly about 330 individual/hm2 in three main site conditions,and the preservation rate was about 26%.It was mainly because the site conditions were close when the initial planting period and the early stage of growth.with the changes in habitat conditions,the growth conditions of Haloxylon ammodendron were significantly different,in which the growth was the best in the mobile sand dune.It mainly embodied in higher tree body,big crown,a large quantity of branches,and vigorous growth of newbranch.
