Abstract
Five afforestation sites of Laohukou,Qingtuhu desert and closed pumped well areas and so on were selected in arid desert area of Minqin to study the effects of different site conditions on the survival rate and growth increment of Haloxylon ammodendron forest in the year.The results showed that the effects of different site conditions on the survival rate and new shoot growth in the year,tree height and ground diameter of Haloxylon ammodendron forest had significant difference.Haloxylon ammodendron forest under different site conditions was as follows: plot Ⅰ plots Ⅴ plot Ⅱ plot Ⅲ plot Ⅳ.
