Expression of p15 protein in Osteosarcoma

Abstract
Objective: Our aims were to study the expression of p15 protein in osteosarcoma and to investigate the function of p15 protein in carcinogenesis and development of osteosarcoma. Methods: We detected p15 protein in 22 cases of osteosarcoma, and immunohistological method was used. Results: The positive rate of p15 protein in 22 cases of osteosarcoma in this study was 54. 5% ,and 15. 0% in 20 cases of osteochondroma. Significant difference can be seen between osteosarcoma and osteochondroma. Conclusion: The expression of p15 protein was relevant to histological type, and may be associated with carcinogenesis and development of osteosarcoma.
