Abstract
Feng Deying was a typical writer in China in the last century. His creation and thoughts were deeply influenced by the culture of Shandong Province, and human-centered from Confucian sages was rooted in his brains. And that left a deep impression on his creation for nearly half a century. He had been taking realism as his creation principle all his life. This paper analyzes his cultural awareness in his creation based on his five novels. His strong complex for his hometown and unequivocal standpoint for the people constitute his typical cultural awareness, and by depicting wars and reflecting upon history, he realized his ideal of creation: speak for the people and sing people’s praises.
