Abstract

Objective To study the accuracy in detecting white blood cell (WBC) by using Diasys R/S2003 urinary sediment workstation and UF-100 urinary sediment automatic analyzer. Methods WBC weretested in 1080 urinary samples by using Diasys R/S2003 urinary sediment workstation and UF-100 urinarysediment automatic analyzer separately. Data were analyzed to get positive rate and it's influencefactors. Results The positive rates of WBC detected by two methods were 37.6% and 45.9% separately. There was significant difference between them (P0.05). The false positive rate was 8.3% by using UF-100 urinary sediment automatic analyzer. Conclusions The accuracy of detecting WBC in urine couldincrease by applying two combined methods or using automatic analyzer to assist microscope examination.
