Clinical analysis of different surgical methods in the treatment of infertile patients with varicocele

Objective To investigate the clinical effects of different surgical methods in the treatment of patients with varicocele.Methods The clinical data of 98 patients underwent the treatment of varicocele in our hospital from January 2000 to October 2009 were retrospectively analysed,ligation of spermatic vein via the inguinal canal in 46 patients,ligation of spermatic vein via retroperitoneum in 34 patients,and laparoscopic spermatic vein ligation in 18 patients.Results There were no the differences in the relapse rate,the complications and postoperative fertile in ligation of spermatic vein via the inguinal canal,ligation of spermatic vein via retrospritoneun and laparoscopic spermatic vein ligation,the effects in hospitalizd time and improvement of semen quality in laparoscopic spermatic vein ligation were best than that in ligation of spermatic vein via the inguinal canal and ligation of spermatic vein via retrospritoneun. Conclusion The above three suogecal methods in the treatment of the patients weth varicocele are effective, each has own advantages and disadvantages.
