Abstract
Under the guidance of methodology of hardware/software co-design and with analyzing,video monitoring system is in arm microprocessor platform,and porting embedded Linux system in it.Video capturing,compression and control tasks are completed.To lower the cost of products,system uses ARM9 as the main processor,and the video capturing equipment is USB camera with the 300000 pixel,also uses software to compress the video data with MPEG-4.It can transfer data and preservation through the network.It realized one digitized monitoring solution,the volume is small,and the cost is inexpensive.The device has the widespread application value.
