Abstract
A new species? Megastigmus rigidae Xu et He, sp. nov. is described in this paper. This species was found in Guyang, Inner Mongolia, and reared from the seeds of Juniperus rigida Sieb et Zucc, which belonges to Torymidae, Chalcidoidea, Hymenoptera. All specimens were deposited in Department of Plant Protection, Zhejiang Agricultural University. Megastigmus rigidae Xu et He, sp. nov. (Figs. 1~8) Specimens examined: Holotype ♀, Guyang, Inner Mongolia (41.0°N, 110.0°E), 1985-VII-30, collected by Liu Zhongren, ex. seeds of Juniperus rigida Sieb et Zucc, C9604-1. Paratypes 4♀♀5♂♂, same data as holotype. The new species is similar to Megastigmus firmae Kamijo, 1962, but can be distinguished from the latter by the following characters: 1). the first funicle segment 3.0 times as long as wide, the latter 2.0 times as long as wide; 2). propodeum transversely ridged, the latter with propodeum longitudinally ridged; 3). fore wing with postmarginal vein 1.8 times as long as stigma vein, the latter with postmarginal vein 3.3 times as long as stigma vein; 4). ovipositor sheath much shorter than body, the latter with its ovipositor sheath much longer than body.
