Abstract

An implementation of mobile GIS based on ArcIMS is presented,aiming at the reduction of development cost.With ArcIMS as GIS platform,the GIS application on PDA is realized through customized client server application.The design,architecture and work flow of the system are discussed,including some key technologies.PSA application in mobile GIS based on ArcIMS is implemented.The test result shows that this solution could work well and is of the superiorities of low cost and high flexibility.
