Abstract
ArcIMS is an important platform product of ESRI WebGIS solutions. ArcIMS provides delivering dynamic maps and GIS data and services via the web. ArcIMS has the powerful data dissemination capability but senior GIS analysis functions are relatively weak. This article is an example of the network analysis function, to extend the ArcIMS function. Using this extension mode, users can develop the other senior GIS network analysis functions easily on the ArcIMS platform.
