Abstract

Objective To observe the different effects of granisetron using in different time to prevent postoperative nausea and vomiting in patients undergoing general anesthesia.Methods48 patients undergoing general anesthesia were selected, and they were randomly divided into three groups by the different time of granisetron using,3 mg granisetron was injected at the moment of the general anesthesia inducing in group A,and after 1 h in group B,then after tracheal tube drawing time in group C.The episodes of nausea and vomiting were recorded during 24 hours after operation.ResultsNo significant differences were observed in the terms of nausea and vomiting between group A and B(P0.05).The rates of nausea and vomiting in group C were lower than in group A and B(P0.05).Conclusion Granisetron should be used at the moment of tracheal tube drawing time to prevent postoperative nausea and vomiting in patients undergoing general anesthesia.
