Relationship between tooth fracture and root canal therapy

Abstract

Tooth fracture is one of the serious complications after root canal therapy.There is close relationship between many procedures of root canal therapy and tooth fracture.According to the relative papers in the past decade,this article reviews the relationship between tooth fracture and the procedures of root canal therapy including access cavity preparation,root canal preparation,root canal medication,root canal obstruction,access cavity obstruction and treatment after therapy,to analysis the factors related to tooth fracture in these procedures and prevent the fracture of post-endodontic teeth.
