Abstract

Objective To compare the blood lipid, blood glucose and prognosis situation between patients of cerebral infarction with diabetes and patients without diabetes. Methods 152 patients with acute cerebral infarction were divided into cerebral infarction with diabetes group (A group, n=68), cerebral infarction without diabetes group (B group,n=46) and cerebral infarction with temporary high blood glucose (C group, n=38). The imaging of cerebral CT scanner, the levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C), fasting blood glucose (FPG), and the status of neurological impairment were observed and detected in three groups. Results Compared with B group, the situations of patients of A group and C group were more server, with larger infarct size, higher levels of TC,TG, LDL-C, VLAL-C and FPG, and more sever neurological impairment. Conclusion Cerebral infarction patients with diabetes had worse therapeutic effect and prognosis. It is associated with high level of blood glucose.
