Abstract

The scavenging action of the Ganoderma lucidum mycelium and lyceum chinensis polysaccharide compound to the radical system were studied. The compound was the two different sources polysaccharides compounded by different contents and rates. The result indicated (that)the compound polysaccharide showed obvious scavenging action to the hydroxyl free radical(OH.). The scavenging action enhanced with the content of polysaccharide compound increased. When the rate was 4∶1 in 1.0mg/mL, the compound polysaccharide scavenging action to the hydroxyl free radical(OH.) , which improved about 13% than that of any of two polysaccharides, reached 48.13%. It was concluded that the improvement of the compound polysaccharide action had close relation to the rate of single polysaccharides and the content of the compound.
