Abstract
The scavenging actions of the ganodorma lucidum and lycium chinensis polysaccharide compounds to two different free radical systems were studied. The polysaccharide compounds showed that obvious scavenging actions to hydroxyl free radical(OH·)generated by Fenton reaction and to superoxide anion(O 2-·)generated by a pyrogallol autoxidation system. With the increasing of polysaccharides contents, the scavenging actions increased. The scavenge actions of polysaccharide compounds were obviously stronger than anti-oxidative activity of single polysaccharide in the same content. It was concluded that the compounds of two different polysaccharides could enhance the scavenging actions to free radicals.
