Abstract

The paper,by utilizing the extended linear expenditure system,provides an analysis and forecast of Chinese urban residents' consumption structure,with the Engel coefficient,the propensity to consume along with the basic necessity level derived.Based on these,some countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.
