Analysis of 16 cases with perimesencephalic nonaneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage

OBJECTIVE To investigate the clinical features,treatment and prognosis of perimesencephalic nonaneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage(PNSH).METHODS Retrospective analysis was used to investigate 16 cases of perimesencephalic nonaneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.Clinical manifestation,imaging information,follow-up treatment,and prognosis were analyzed.RESULTS The 16 cases showed no positive imaging information,and had mild clinical symptoms.There were no disturbance of consciousness and focal neurologic dysfunction,with Hunt-Hess grading I-II.Followed up for 6-72 months,mean 46 months,the cases had no bleeding,no permanent neurologic dysfunction,and returned to normal life.CONCLUSION Clinical symptoms Of perimesencephalic nonaneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage is less than that of the classic subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH),and the prognosis is good with less complications.
