Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical features, treatment and prognosis of perimesencephalic nonaneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage(PNSH).Methods The clinical data of 11 patients with PNSH,including clinical manifestations, imaging, diagnosis and treatment data, were analyzed retrospectively. The prognoses in the patients with PNSH were understood by following up.Results There were not conscious disturbance, signs of nervous system orientation, intraventricular hemorrhage and hydrocephalus in all the patients,in whom there were relatively light clinical symptoms, and disease condition of Hunt-Hess grades Ⅰ~Ⅱ.The following up from 12 to 60 months showed that all the patients were cured. There were not permanent neurological dysfunction and rebleeding in all the patients, who returned to normal work and living. Conclusions The clinical symptoms are lighter and the complications are less in the patients with PNSH whose prognoses are good, than those in the patients with aneurismal SAH.
