Abstract
Objective: To discuss the mechanism of functional dyspepsia(FD)and the effect of HeweiLiqi Decoction(the formula for harmonizing stomach and regulating Qi)to treat FD model rats with liver Qi stagnation.Methods:48Wistar rats were randomized into physiological saline group,model group,high,middle and low dose groups of HeweiLiqi Decoction and Motilium group,8rats in each one.Except the rats in physiological saline group,FD rat model of liver Qi stagnation was made in all of the rest groups through irritating the rats by clamping their tails.After modeling,physiological saline of equal volume was administered in physiological saline group and model group.HeweiLiqi Decoction of different doses were administered in high,middle and low dose groups successively and the prepared Motilium suspension was used in Motilium group.The changes of motilin(MTL)、substance P(SP)and gastrin were observed in each group.Results: The contents of MTL,SP and GAS of model rats were increased in the groups treated with HeweiLiqi Decoction and western medicine Motilium,and the significant differences were obtained in plasma SP in the comparison between the high dose group of HeweiLiqi Decoction and Motilium group(P0.05).Conclusion: HeweiLiqi Decoction can increase the content of MTL,SP and GAS in the plasma of model rats,which is probably one of the mechanisms in the treatment of functional dyspepsia.
