Abstract

Western Hunan is beautiful in Shen Congwen's literary works,but the love world of the characters is tragic.These tragedies are due to the social environment and the natural environment,the feudal society,and the old conventions and customs,the failure of the love of the prostitutes,as well as the unforeseen events and the death of people.Compared with China's classical love tragedy,the extension of Shen Congwen's love tragedy is wider and the connotation is more luxuriant.
