Abstract
Mountain cave stories in Shen Congwen's fictions are one of the native myths.In many of his fictions such as Spectacle under the Moon,Mei Jin,Leopard and Goat,Three Men and a Woman,and Seven Savages and the Last Spring Festival,Shen Congwen describes lovers who go to mountain caves to make love and then die there,signifying the death of love bound by nature and god.
