Abstract
Mathematical model with irregular triangular grids of tidal current, sediment movement are established and it also takes the wave action into account. On the basis of fully accurate verification of the model, the tidal current field and sediment field are numerically simulated for the sea area adjacent to Huludao. Also the same simulation is done for the planned Liutiaogou Harbor District of Huludao Port.Form the simulation results, current filed changed in harbor basin and navigational channel after the project has been completed is analyzed, cross current of the navigational channel is calculated, and the annual deposit volume in harbor basin and navigational channel is predicted to to lay scientific foundation for the harbor plan and design.
