Abstract
Objective To discuss the clinical effect on holmium laser lithotripsy and pneumatic lithotripsy with ureteroscope in the treatment of ureteral calculi. Methods 180 patients with ureteral calculi in Daqing Oil Field General Hospital from May 2011 to May 2012 were selected and divided into holmium laser group and pneumatic lithotripsy group according to random number table, each group had 80 cases.Holmium laser group was given treatment of holmium laser while pneumatic lithotripsy group was given treatment of pneumatic lithotripsy. The gravel success rate and the related surgery indicators, complications after treatment in the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results Single lumen gravel success rate of holmium laser group was 95.0% while that of pneumatic lithotripsy group was 72.5%,there was a significant difference between two groups(P 0.05).There was no significant difference between two groups on the operation time(P 0.05).There was a significant difference between two groups on the complication probability(P 0.05).After treatment, calculus exhaust net rate of holmium laser group(92.50%) after operation of 1-3 months were higher than those of pneumatic lithotripsy group(71.25%)(P 0.05).Conclusion Holmium laser has some advantages such as high single lumen gravel success rate, high calculus exhaust net rate and less complication,so it is worthy of promotion in clinic.
