Abstract
A ultrasonic motor using longitudinal and torsional mode was designed,a prototype motor was devised and tested. The experimental tests and analysis show that to increase the depth of piezoelectric ceramic in the longitudinal vibration can increase the longitudinal vibration's amplitude and can make the frequencies of longitudinal and torisonal vibration much closer. The frequency matching method is simple and effective.
