Abstract

The changes in the activities of some enzymes in six wheat cultivars with different resistance to black point were studied after inoculation with Alternaria alternate. The result showed that the activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD) and poly-phonoloxidase(PPO) in resistant and susceptible cultivars had all increased at the first stage of inoculation but then decreased. The range of the changes in resistant cultivars was larger than those in the susceptible, indicating that these three kinds of enzymes play important roles in wheat resistance to the disease and their regulation ability in resistant cultivars is stronger than that in susceptible ones.
