Relationship between Expressions of CDC6 and HSP27 and HPV_(16/18) Infection in Uterine Cervical Carcinomas

Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship between HPV16/18 infection and expressions of CDC6 as well as HSP27 in uterine cervical carcinomas.Methods Formalin-fixed,paraffin-embedded samples including 50 cases of cervical squamous cell carcinoma,20 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)gradeⅡ/Ⅲ and 20 cases of CIN gradeⅠ and 20 cases of normal cervical tissues were studied.Using immunohistochemical technique,the expressions of CDC6 and HSP27 in these samples were examined.The infections of HPV type 16,18 DNA were determined by PCR.Results ①There were significant differences in CDC6 and HSP27 expressions between carcinoma and CIN,as well as normal cervices(all P0.05).Expressions of CDC6 and HSP27 were correlated with tumor grades and lymph node metastasis(all P0.05),and weren't correlated with age(all P0.05).Expression of HSP27 was correlated with clinical stages(P0.05),but that of CDC6 was not(P0.05).②The positive rate of HPV type 16/18 was gradually increased in the order of normal tissues,CIN and carcinoma(P0.05),and was not associated with age,tumor grades,clinical stages and lymph node metastasis(all P0.05).③HSP27 was not correlated with the expression of CDC6 and the positive rate of HPV16/18(all P0.05).The positive rate of HPV16/18 was positively correlated with the expression of CDC6(P0.05).Conclusion The results suggest that changes of CDC6 expression in tissues of CIN and cervical carcinoma may be associated with HPV16/18 infection,which can influence the progression of CIN and cervical carcinoma.
