Abstract

Objective To study the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound in the diagnosis of hepatic hemangioma. Methods 22 cases with hepatic hemangioma were performed bolus injection of ultrasound contrast agent(Sono Vue 2.4 ml),and to investigate the pouring process of hepatic hemangioma and echogenicity in real time with low mechanical index of contrast pulse sequencing image. Results The hepatic hemangioma marginal or spotty enhancement was happened in the early stage of Angiography(arterial phase or portal venous phase) in 20 case patients, and enhanced slowly in concentric filling type. The tumor in parenchyma phase showed hyperecho because of the complete or part enhance. The intensity of the echo was higher than the around liver parenchyma;1 case represented arterial phase global enhanced rapidly, portal venous phase and parenchyma phase enhanced continuously, and the echo was stronger than the around liver tissue;1 case only showed little enhancement in the periphery, the enhancement still did not appear until 8 minutes after angiography. Conclusion The contrast-enhanced ultrasound examination of hepatic hemangioma has characteristic change of ultrasonogram, the contrast-enhanced ultrasound examination is another new diagnostic method of hepatic hemangioma, the diagnostic rate of contrast-enhanced ultrasound is higher than the normal ultrasonic examination obviously.
