Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effects of super-selective hepatic artery embolization in the treatment of hepatic hemangioma.Methods Twenty-eight patients with hemangioma of liver were treated with super-selective hepatic artery embolization,including 18 male and 10 females.PYM and lipiodol ultra-fluida and gelfoam was used as main embolic materials.Results The size of the tumor were decreased 1-6 months later after treatment in all patients,of them,16 patients were decreased more than 50% and 9 patients were less than 50% and 3 patients had no change.The effective rate reached 89.3%.All patients had no side-effect.Conclusion Superselective hepatic artery embolization is a very effective method in the treatment of hepatie hemangioma.
