Abstract
The activity change of peroxidase(POD),polyphenoloxidase(PPO) and superoxidedismutase(SOD) in leaves of two varieties of pakchoi was studied by applied different Cd concentration.The results indicated that the activity of PPO of two varieties of pakchoi had an increasing trend with the increasing of Cd concentration;but that of SOD increased firstly and then decreased,and had a peak while the concentration of Cd was 10mg/kg.The activity of POD of Cuibao(C) showed an increasing trend as a whole,and that of Qingbang(Q) was similar to the change of SOD.Three enzymes showed a different protect function to some degree in a certain range,it showed that the increasing and sustaining of PPO,POD and SOD activities were important factors on resistance to Cd stress of plant to some extend.
