Abstract
【Objective】To study the expression of Survivin in esophageal carcinoma, and its correlation to the expression of P53, Rb gene. 【Method】 The immunohistochemistry was used to assay the expression of Survivin and P53 ,Rb in tissues of eightyfive cases of esophageal carcinoma, with the normal Esophageal tissues as the control. 【Result】 The expression of Survivin and P53 Protein in esophageal carcinoma was higher than the normal esophageal tissues(P 0.01). Overexpression of Survivin was strongly related to the clinical TNM stages and lymph node metatstasis ( P 0.05); the expressions of Rb was related to levels of the cell differentiation and the lymph node metatstasis ( P 0.05); and the expressions of Survivin and P53 showed a significant correlation( P 0.05); Survivin and Rb showed no correlation ( P 0.05). 【Conclusion】 Overexpression of Survivin was related to the clinical TNM stages and lymph node metatstasis, the expressions of Survivin and P53 can be used as references for the diagnosis of esophageal carcinoma. The expressions of Survivin and Rb can be used as references for the prognostic of esophageal carcinoma.
