Abstract

Magnetic solid superacid SO 2- 4/ZrO 2 was prepared by chemical modification of solid superacid. The yield of esterification achieved 96.5% with butyl alcohol. 0.3 mol, lactic acid 0.1 mol, magnetic solid superacid 1.2 g and reaction time 2.5 h. The catalyst could be isolated from other matters due to its magnetism, and the recycle percentage was 82.5%.
