Hermeneutics is an importantW estern philosophy that is oriented toward humanities. It is a theory and method to interpret the meaning of text. Its main target is to study the understand ing and explanation of the meaning. It investigates the human 's mentalworld. Hermeneutics has its significance on psychologicalmethodology of investigating the humanistic value orientation and constructing a complete psychological methodology. Neverthe- less, its own lim its will confine its application in psychology.
