Clinical observation of mitomycin C with adjustable suture in trabeculectomy in the treatment of the glaucoma

Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of with adjustable suture in trabeculectomy in the treatment of the glaucoma.Methods: From February 2008 to June 2010,160 cases of glaucoma patients were randomly divided into treatment group(80 cases) and conventional therapy group(80 cases),the efficacy and complications were observed.Results: Before and after treatment,there was no significant difference about IOP(P0.05);there were significant differences on the complications,shallow anterior chamber dividing in two groups(P0.05).Conclusion: Mitomycin C with adjustable suture in trabeculectomy in the treatment of the glaucoma,can take the initiative to adjust the amount glaucoma filtration surgery to prevent filtration road adhesion obstruction,and can effectively control the level of intraocular pressure,reduce complications and improve the success rate of glaucoma surgery.
