An Research on the Management of Dongting Lake Wetland

As the biggest fresh water wetland in China,Recently,because of frequent flood and enormous losses,Hunan Province initialed a “4350 Project” to administer Dongting Lake in all round way,with its target of reappearing the vast and mighty beautiful scenery of 800-Li Dongting Lake,and making it to be an important functional area of regulating and holding up flood in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.During the applying of this project,the problem about the management of Dongting Lake Wetland has not solved thoroughly.Based on the analysis,we conclude that the tactics of “residents from the land but still cultivation” and “removing residents and town constructed” need further discussion.In order to recover the wetland’s ecological system fundamentally,we should remove local residents the people out of Dongting Lake Wetland.It’s also necessary to adjust the administrative division and administer pollution,they are essential to the recovery of Dongting Lake Wetland’s function.
