Situation and Strategy of Protection about the Wetland in Dongting Lake

The wetland in Dongting Lake is the largest wetland in China.It is the most important water storage zone in the middle reaches of the Yangtse River reaches and nation-rated ecological function protection areas and has a crucial effect on keeping ecological balance in the Dongting Lake areas.But the wetland environment in the Dongting Lake has been badly disrupted and so it has restricted the sustainable development of economy and society in the Dongting Lake area because of over-exploitation and environmental pollution.The paper brings forward the relative advice based on currently existed matter about protection of the wetland in Dongting Lake.
