Abstract
Equal opportunity is a complicated social issue. It is also a common problem which attracts the attention of the government, academia and the masses of each country. In our country, the higher education is in a transitional stage from “elite education” to “popular education”, and people pinning their hope on the advance of higher education in a popular style can bring more equal opportunities for them to enter institutions of higher learning. But, the increase of opportunities in higher education fails to press forward together with equal opportunities in higher education, because some new problems crop up in the course of the popular education. This paper aims at analyzing the causes of the new problems during the course of higher education in a popular style and discusses the approaches of settling these problems.
