Abstract

Objective:To explore the epidemiological characteristics of summer viral diarrhea and the effect of nursing methods in 2010 in Qingdao.Methods:260 cases of clinically diagnosized as viral diarrhea patients and 260 cases of bacterial diarrhea patients were checked from May to Sep.of 2010 to compare clinical information and give nursing guidance. Results:From July to September in 2010,the number of viral diarrhea patients significantly increased, and the ratio high to 60.6%.The most frequently observed clinical symptoms were abdominal pain, fever, watery diarrhea.Virus detection positive rate was 39.2%.Rotavirus(36.2%),star virus(23.4%) and norovirus(19.1%) were the main pathogens. Conclusion:Viral diarrhea was the major type in summer diarrhea in Qingdao in 2010.Rotavirus and star virus were the most common pathogen. The correct nursing guidance can help the recovery of patients.
