Abstract
Objective: To investigate the influencing factors associated with the outcomes of pregnancy rate via intrauterine insemination(IUI) by husband's donation. Methods: The data from 104 patients undergone IUI between Jan.2007 and Dec.2012 were retrospectively analyzed in 195 cycles(either natural or ovulation induction cycle). The pregnancy outcomes were examined regarding the influencing factors including age, infertility time, cycles of IUI,causative infertility, ovulation induction, number of mature follicle and thickness of endometrium. Results: Univariate and multivariable regression logistic analysis revealed the pregnancy rate for patients with secondary infertility was higher than primery infertility(OR =3.494,P =0.032;OR = 3.657,P = 0.048).The number of mature follicles were increased(OR = 18.279,P = 0.000) with thickened endometrium(OR = 0.186,P = 0.007) in women after ovulation induction as compared with those of natural cycles. The pregnancy rate in ovulation induction cycles was higher than that of nature cycles,it suggested significant difference(χ2 = 5.946,P = 0.015).Conclusion: Rational determination of the patients and ovulation induction cycle may improve the pregnancy rate through IUI.
