Abstract

After World War II,vocational and technical education in developed countries has achieved rapid development under the impetus of such factors as new technological revolution,economic development and demand for education.In this context,Polytechnic Institutes represented by short-term vocational colleges came into being in China in 1980s.By experimentation,scale expansion and education reformation,China Mode of higher vocational education gradually becomes a new model of vocational education development suited to Chinese national conditions and characteristics.It is not only an educational teaching model but also a dynamic model of development.This paper combs the formation process,analyzes and summerizes the rules and characteristics of its development.
