Experimental Study about Taohe Zhenwu Decoction on Prevention and Treatment of Chronic Renal Failure

Abstract

Objective To study the role and mechanism of Taohe Zhenwu decoction for the prevention and treatment of chronic renal failure (CRF).Methods The adenine rats with CRF were randomly divided into normal control group,pathological model group,Niaoduqing group and Taohe Zhenwu decoction group.The quantitative detection of 24h urinary protein,blood routine examination,electrolyte,carbon dioxide combining power (CO_2-CP),renal function (Scr,BUN),serum nitric oxide (NO),superoxide dismutase (SOD) and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) were tested before and after treatment,the kidney pathological changes were observed by optical microscopy.Results Taohe Zhenwu decoction can improve the renal function of CRF rats,adjust the disorder of acid-base balance of electrolyte,correct anemia and decrease urinary protein,reduce NO,TNF-α(P0.01) increase SOD (P0.01),and can lessen the damage of renal units.Conclusion Taohe Zhenwu decoction has a role of the prevention and treament on CRF rats induced by adenine.
